Firkin Gin Wins Silver in Scottish Gin Awards

FIRKIN Gin has returned home to Leith this morning delighted with a SILVER placing in the ‘Best Cask Aged Gin’ category at the Scottish Gin Awards.

The first ever professional drinks competition to assess Scotland’s booming gin business was held at a near sell-out event held in Glasgow last night.

530 guests gathered to celebrate the Scottish Gin Awards and to hear who had been crowned the best in the wide-ranging competition, which has been running since January of this year.

Commenting on the awards, Derek Mair of FIRKIN Gin said: “Our team enjoyed a fabulous night at the first Scottish Gin Awards and to receive a Silver Award for our cask aged Gin was an incredible boost and a great honour.”

FIRKIN Gin launched onto the Scottish gin market in 2014 and has since released three additional expressions with promises of more exciting gins to come.
