The first release of 21 year old single malt from Littlemill, a Lowland distillery with a long history. It was founded all the way back in 1772, but it was sadly closed in the early 1990s and demolished in the 2000's following a fire. This is the second release of this fine 21 year old single malt whisky from the Littlemill Distillery and a uniquely bottled and packaged one at that. This is a 21 year old single malt which was aged in Bourbon casks and bottled at 47% abv - the first release was bottled at 46% abv, so this has just a little bit more to it than the original expression. There is plenty of taste and character here.
Nose: Fresh, fruity and floral with hints of vanilla, custard and herbal tea.
Palate: Rich, bold with pineapple & thick malt. Notes of spicy pear & tropical fruit.
Finish: Medium with biscuit crumbs and malt, fading away on boiled sweets.
